On August 16–17, 2025, at the Osaka International Convention Center, Mr. Katsumasa Tashiro, COO of RE Biotech, presented on the development of our atelocollagen film-forming agent at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Cosmetic Dermatology, in a general oral session.

Presentation Title: Skin Care Effects of Atelocollagen Hydrogel Film-Forming Material

The atelocollagen film-forming agent presented is a novel biomaterial derived from horse and pig placentas. Atelocollagen is extracted without heat treatment, then gelled using a proprietary method that allows it to form a thin film upon contact with body temperature when applied to the skin.

This technology is patented in Japan, and the material has been branded BIOGRAFT®, with the trademark also registered.

Using this collagen hydrogel technology, RE Biotech is actively developing new skincare products and supplying the material for other applications. Current projects include commercializing skincare products in dermatology and developing femcare products in gynecology.
